An African Mali Bamana Nyeleni female standing sculpture (19th / 20th Century) standing on fragmented block-like feet with slight bend at the knees; supporting a columnar torso with protruding navel and conical breasts, tubular neck supporting an oval shaped head with pursed lips and almond shaped eyes; beneath a crested coiffure terminating in two braids. Dark brown patina throughout.
